Fawlty Towers is one of four backpacker places in Livingstone, the gateway to the Victoria Falls. It is the one to go to if you don’t want to be up all night partying. Catering to a much wider clientele than the others, this place manages to appeal to everyone. The dorms on the first floor of the main building are roomy and comfortable. They’re arranged around the small restaurant that serves breakfast and lunch only. There are plans afoot to open a larger one downstairs by the pool. The pool has sun loungers by the spacious garden and there is a pool table in the sitting area by reception. There is also a beauty parlour!

The common showers and toilets are clean and there is plenty of hot water, but there are only two of each for all the potential dorm guests. There are in excess of a total of 35 beds in the 7 dorms. There is also free WiFi and a free shuttle every morning to the Zambian side of the Victoria Falls. The activity centre can help you with bungee jumping, rafting, etc. There is also a kitchen for self-caterers that is well-equipped with kettle, toaster, microwave, fridges and gas cooker. The friendly staff and management know everything you’ll need to ask about the area and is a great deal.
