Twin rooms have 2 separate beds inside, and are not to be confused with a double room which come with a single double bed. Twin rooms are meant to provide accommodation for traveling friends or relatives such as siblings. Also if a whole family is traveling this room can be used for their 2 children while their parents are staying in a double room. Twin rooms can have the same comfort as single rooms. Some have an attached bathroom while others don’t. In hot and tropical countries in Asia or South-America make sure you have an aircon in your room, a fan is usually insufficient and you might not get enough sleep during the night because of the heat in your room. If you are a traveling family, you might want to consider booking a family room for 3 to 4 people if the hostel or guesthouse has one available.
