Backpacker Hostel Brisbane

The Cloud 9 in Brisbane is just a few minutes walk from the Transit Centre and the CBD. The hostel was still under construction during our stay there. The floor, reception, ceilings, lamps, common area, just everything was still unfinished. The only thing finished was our dormitory room, which looked quite nice, even without a window. The beds and mattresses, just everything was brand new and comfortable. Doors had Electronic locks with cards, and you could imagine how it might be once finished. The hostel has a big TV and a great sun terrace (rooftop) as well. As the place was still under construction, we can’t rate it – but all looked very promissing.

The Banana Benders in Brisbane is a good Hostel to stay. It is located near the train station and Transit Centre, only a few minutes walk to the CBD. The hostel is quite big (with lots of stairs) and has a nice terrace with a view. Kitchen was OK, the rooms were clean too. The staff can also help you finding work, i.e. harvesting bananas (who would have expected this?). At the time we were there, it seemed that 90% of people staying here were Germans for some reason.
